First Trimester
Monthly Visits

In the first trimester, you’ll have monthly visits, each lasting 60 minutes, where we focus on building a solid foundation for your pregnancy through education and collaborative care:

  • Health History Review and Initial Assessments: We take the time to understand your health history and perform necessary assessments. We discuss what these assessments mean and how they impact your pregnancy.

  • Early Pregnancy Education: We provide in-depth education on nutrition, exercise, and managing early pregnancy symptoms, guiding you in making informed choices for a healthy start.

  • Planning and Goal Setting: Together, we begin to explore your goals and preferences for your pregnancy and birth, ensuring your choices are at the forefront of your care plan.

Second Trimester

Bi-Weekly Visits

As your pregnancy progresses into the second trimester, we increase visits to every two weeks, focusing on continued education and shared decision-making:

  • Growth and Development Education: We educate you on your baby’s development and monitor their growth. Together, we review what’s normal and what to expect, empowering you to participate actively in these assessments.

  • Screening and Testing Discussions: We discuss the purpose, benefits, and options for ultrasounds and screenings, helping you make informed decisions based on the information provided.

  • Symptom Management and Comfort: We talk through any new symptoms or discomforts, providing you with the knowledge and options to manage them effectively.

  • Collaborative Birth Planning: We delve deeper into your birth preferences, providing information on various options so you can make choices that align with your values and desires.

Third Trimester
Weekly Visits

In the third trimester, weekly visits ensure you’re fully prepared for the birth and the postpartum period, with a focus on continued education and collaboration:

  • Labor and Birth Education: We provide comprehensive information on the signs of labor, what to expect during delivery, and the various options available to you. This ensures you feel prepared and confident in your choices.

  • Baby’s Position and Movement: We educate you on the importance of your baby’s position, offering exercises and techniques to optimize positioning. You’ll have the knowledge to decide on the best practices for you and your baby.

  • Finalizing Your Birth Plan: We work together to finalize your birth plan, ensuring all decisions reflect your preferences and that you feel empowered to make informed choices.

  • Postpartum Education and Planning: We begin preparing for the postpartum period, discussing what to expect and how to care for yourself and your baby. This ensures a smooth transition and continuous support after birth.
